About the Founder
The Story of Our Founder
DSI Akinseye Gbenga Joseph hails from Ode-Irele in Irele Local Government Area of Ondo State. With an academic background that includes an ND in Accounting and a B.Sc. in Criminology and Security Studies, he combines financial discipline with a strong foundation in security and community welfare.
His passion for sports began as early as JS2, when his football talent earned him free tuition from JSS2 through SS2, a recognition that deepened his commitment to sports and wellness. Since then, sports has been more than just a game for him; it has been a platform for social engagement, community building, and economic empowerment.
Inspiration Behind Jaaron Sports & Wellness Expo Initiative
Akinseye’s life experiences taught him that sports is not only a unifying force but also a tool for empowerment and protection. He believes that in a country where over 67% of people are passionate about football, sports can be used to win hearts, build peace, and foster economic opportunities.
Vision for the Future
His ultimate vision is to raise 5,000–10,000 players in every local government across Nigeria, supported by volunteers, sponsors, and strong community networks. With his background as a security expert, he is committed to ensuring that this growth happens under safe and structured guidelines. He envisions Jaaron Sports & Wellness Expo Initiative as a platform that will connect people, nurture talent, and promote government development goals.
Experience & Achievements
From his early years, Akinseye has shown a heart for service — offering water and food to people returning from football matches in his community. His kindness and people-oriented spirit have always shone through.
He has also been actively involved in corporate social responsibility (CSR) programmes, grassroots sports development, and community competitions. As a football player himself, he participated in several leagues from the age of 14, winning numerous trophies with different teams. Wherever he goes, he sees sports as a tool for bringing people together and creating impact.
Beyond Sports
Outside sports and community work, Akinseye enjoys long-distance driving with cool music and is a dedicated fitness enthusiast. He trains daily and is a proud member of one of the best gyms in Akure.
